ibs WorkFlow manages communication flow mechanisms not only across Soft Solutions Suite but also with other information systems within the business and - beyond that - with outside parties.

ibs WorkFlow carries out workflow implementation in the form of one- or multi-stage scenarios. Each stage is defined by

A trigger-event: "initial reason" for action generated for the stage in question. All fields and objects in all of Soft Solutions Suite's modules may be observed and "listened to" in modification, creation and deletion and configured as trigger-events upon their having a given predefined value.

Generated actions: following the triggering of the event configured for the stage in question. An action may be such as sending an alert on an internal messaging service; sending an e-mail; updating data and diffusing it through XML files; executing batchfiles or OS commands; executing stored procedures.

-		Within the referential itself: information pertaining to trigger-event is automatically updated or relayed to predefined addressees through generated messages.
-		Towards other Soft Solutions applications through a direct communication of all information throughout the suite.
-		Towards other business information systems using XML standards for communication.
-		At all business levels through the diffusion of information to all relevant participants according to defined protocols (batch, standard interface).
-		Define the objectives and actions envisaged by the supplier.
